President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised Team Nigeria for their outstanding performance at the Commonwealth Games, where the athletes secured 24 medals across various sporting events. He pledged increased government investment in sports development to build on the achievement and strengthen Nigeria’s global competitiveness.

In a statement released by the Presidency, Tinubu described the athletes’ performance as a demonstration of resilience, discipline, and national pride.
