Lagos State – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lagos State has announced it will begin the public display of Form EC9, containing the personal particulars of candidates for the 2027 presidential, senatorial and House of Representatives elections, on Saturday.
In a statement issued by the commission’s Head of Voter Education and Publicity in Lagos, Mrs Esther Emeh, INEC said the exercise, conducted in accordance with Section 29 of the Electoral Act 2022, will take place at the INEC Lagos State Office in Sabo Yaba and at respective Local Government Area offices.
Form EC9 contains the credentials, personal particulars and affidavits submitted by candidates sponsored by political parties, giving members of the public an opportunity to inspect and potentially challenge nominee eligibility.

INEC urged registered political parties, nominated candidates, stakeholders and members of the public to inspect the documents during the display period, which forms a routine but important stage in the electoral timetable.
The display exercise comes as parties across the country continue finalising their candidate lists ahead of the 2027 general election, with several internal leadership and nomination disputes still unresolved within multiple parties.
Civil society election monitoring groups are expected to closely follow the display exercise, which provides an important transparency check on the credentials of candidates seeking elective office.
