Bauchi State – Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has reshuffled the State Executive Council, with two commissioners exiting the cabinet and one other resigning, as part of what the governor’s office described as ongoing efforts to strengthen governance.
The governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, disclosed the changes in a statement, saying the exercise formed part of the administration’s continued push to improve service delivery across the state.

Bala has separately forwarded new commissioner nominees to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation, a process expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
Cabinet reshuffles have become a recurring feature of governance across several Nigerian states this year, with governors citing the need for renewed energy and performance as justification for such changes.
The affected commissioners have not publicly commented on their exit from the cabinet, and the state government has not disclosed the specific portfolios affected by the reshuffle.
Political observers in Bauchi say the reshuffle could signal broader realignments within the state’s ruling party structure ahead of continued governance and political activities in the state.
