The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said health authorities continue monitoring disease surveillance and emerging public health risks across the country.

Officials explained that monitoring efforts involve hospitals, laboratories, and community health networks.

The agency also urged Nigerians to maintain basic hygiene practices and report unusual symptoms promptly.

Several states have increased coordination with federal health authorities to improve preparedness.

Consequently, disease monitoring systems remain active following recent regional outbreaks and seasonal health concerns.

Public health observers also stressed the need for stronger medical infrastructure and healthcare funding.

Some hospitals continue facing shortages involving staff, equipment, and emergency resources.

Preparedness Remains National Priority

Health analysts believe stronger surveillance systems could improve emergency response capacity nationwide.

In addition, medical professionals urged greater investment in rural healthcare services and laboratory networks.

Still, experts warned that misinformation and delayed reporting may weaken public health responses.

At the same time, international health organizations continue supporting disease monitoring efforts across Africa.

The NCDC said regular updates would continue as authorities monitor evolving health conditions.
