Keynote Address at Policy Dialogue

Ola Olukoyede, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), is poised to deliver a pivotal keynote address on pressing issues within Nigeria’s real estate ecosystem. This significant event, organized by Law Corridor, a prominent legal firm in Nigeria, will take place on Wednesday, August 6th, at the Abuja Continental Hotel.

Engaging Stakeholders for Solutions

The Policy Dialogue aims to gather influential stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, including the acting Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr. Richard Yunana Dauda, and notable legal figures such as Oyetola Muyiwa Atoyebi SAN and Kehinde Ogunwumiju, OFR, SAN. Participants will engage in meaningful discussions focused on combating fraudulent practices that threaten the integrity of the real estate market.

Key topics of discussion will include the rise of illegal property sales, the prevalence of unlicensed agents, and the urgent need for compliance with anti-money laundering regulations. The event promises to foster a collaborative environment where stakeholders can share insights and propose actionable solutions to restore confidence in Nigeria’s real estate sector.

A Roadmap for Reform

At the conclusion of the dialogue, Law Corridor will compile a comprehensive Policy Brief that encapsulates the insights and recommendations from the discussions. This document will serve as a roadmap for reform, aimed at guiding relevant government ministries and agencies in addressing the challenges facing the real estate industry.
