Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI)

The Federal Government has unveiled the online registration portal for Phase III of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI), a programme designed to train 26,961 unemployed Nigerians across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Programme officials said the initiative would cover 70 market driven vocational and entrepreneurial training tracks, part of the Federal Government’s broader effort to combat unemployment through skills acquisition and enterprise support.

Registration is being conducted online, after which shortlisted applicants will undergo a verification process before nationwide training commences in August, alongside a separate component providing starter packs to 3,405 graduate trainees.

The initiative reflects continued government investment in structured skills training pathways aimed at addressing youth unemployment, building on earlier phases of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative rolled out in previous years.

Officials say the market driven design of the training tracks is intended to ensure graduates of the programme can transition into either self employment or existing job market opportunities upon completion.

The Federal Government is expected to provide further updates on the programme’s rollout as registration proceeds and training preparations continue ahead of the August commencement date.
