ADC Warns Against Alleged Plot to Arrest Aregbesola

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has raised concerns over what it described as an alleged plan to arrest former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.

In a statement issued by the party’s leadership, the ADC claimed that security agencies were being pressured to target Aregbesola for political reasons. The party urged authorities to act within the law and avoid actions that could destabilize the political environment.

The ADC noted that Aregbesola, who previously served as governor of Osun State, has remained a prominent figure in Nigerian politics. It warned that any attempt to arrest him without due process could be seen as persecution.

“Democracy thrives on fairness and justice. Any move to arrest Aregbesola outside the framework of the law will be resisted,” the statement read.
