Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has inaugurated the construction of a 900-meter Keffi flyover bridge, a N11.5 billion infrastructure project designed to ease traffic congestion and reduce accidents along the busy Keffi-Abuja highway. The flyover, flagged off at the Keffi Roundabout, targets road safety improvements and economic growth in North-Central Nigeria, with completion slated within 12 months.
The ceremony, held at Keffi roundabout, the project site, attracted dignitaries across the state and beyond. The flyover is being executed by Bauhaus Global Investment Nigeria Limited and is expected to be completed within 12 months, with no room for cost variation, according to the project agreement.
Governor Sule described the project as a strategic intervention to address longstanding infrastructural and safety concerns in the area, noting that the state government is committed to executing projects that have direct impact on the lives of the people.
“This project is a response to the tragic accident that occurred here last year, which claimed the lives of our sons. We must begin to think of engineering solutions that would reduce the frequency of such unfortunate incidents,” he said.
He cited the recent commissioning of the N16 billion Lafia interchange by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as another major infrastructure achievement under his administration, saying that such investments are aimed at promoting inclusive development across the state.
