Formal Assumption of Office
On Thursday, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda officially took the reins as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party’s National Secretariat. A Warm Reception

A Privilege and a Responsibility

Commitment to Transparency and Growth
Yilwatda highlighted the need for transparency and technological advancement within the party, aiming to deepen the connection with both local and diaspora members. He expressed confidence in the collective effort of the NWC and party supporters to elevate the APC’s status in Nigeria.
“We will work together as a team to ensure that this party becomes a source of pride for the nation,” he declared, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and unity among party members.
Leadership Changes and New Appointments
With Yilwatda’s appointment, the former Acting National Chairman, Hon. Bukka Abba Dalori, returns to his previous role as Deputy National Chairman (North). Additionally, the former National Deputy Secretary, Festus Faunter, resigned to comply with party regulations prohibiting two officials from the same state serving on the NWC. Barr. Abdulkareem Kana also stepped down as National Legal Adviser to take on the role of National Deputy Secretary, with Barr. Murtala Kankia stepping in as the new National Legal Adviser.
As the APC embarks on this new chapter under Yilwatda’s leadership, the party aims to strengthen its foundation and prepare for the challenges ahead.
